Too Quick?

I got up before work and ran an easy 4 miles this morning. When all was finished, I noticed my foot was a little more sore than it should have been. It was the same spot as after the marathon. I also felt some  weariness in the knees. I am curious if I have jumped back into running daily too soon. Generally I wait a month before running after a marathon. I am wondering if I am doing myself any harm by not waiting.

Your body is telling you what it wants. I would suggest taking time off till you're not feeling pain during normal activities. I know it's probably boring for a runner, but you could probably get away with just walking for a while. If your knees and feet hurt, going to zero or low impact exercise is a good plan. Your shock absorbers are telling you they need a break :)

P.P.S. The words "ran" "easy" and "4 miles" do not belong together in the same sentence. I have been referring to you as "Terminator" and "T1000" behind your back ;)
