I am in my ninth week of training for the Colfax Marathon. This is roughly midway and it feels like it. My cross training has helped keep the running more exciting and I have not hit the point of tired on my long runs as I have in the past. Mixing it up some seems to be having some perks. That said I am still adding milage wherever I can with this loose belief that higher milage will make stronger legs between miles 20 and 26. I am curious if I pushing through rest periods I should be heeding. It's hard to say. I have run everyday for weeks now and am not fatiguing and there are very few pains that last longer than a day. It's a tough call. I know resting will help but pushing is helping too.
The joys of self training.
