DC Reflective

I am in DC for the first time and it is remarkable being surrounded by so much history. Despite feeling more thsn a little jaded with our government today, it's tough to not feel optimism when at the feet of the Lincoln Memorial. The people that built this town probably struggled with the same issues and personality conflicts we do today. Time has removed most of that from their legacy though. With our constant wars, health care struggles and massive debt I wonder how time will remember us?
